Today was the first time that our original airtime was pushed back due to technical problems in the studio with regards to faulty hyperdeck drives that had our bumper music, broadcast videos, and chyrons loaded into the system for OBS to key up to air.
Nevertheless the 2024: State of the SimWorld went on the air after troubleshooting our issues.  We began the programming with going over the neighborhood guidelines as a refresher for those who has been following the community over the years or providing some new information for Simmers who have never seen the address.

Programming moved forward into talking about our year in review which resonated with the theme “The Year of Changes,” as we discussed getting a new broadcast and gaming rig – known as Black Bear from The Computer Store in Topeka.  There was of course the forced move in June for the SimWorld GameVision Broadcast Center, the poor decisions on our content of Police Simulator: Patrol Officers which is being replaced for a modded reprise of Subnautica then a vanilla playthrough for Subnautica: Below Zero. Of course, the sudden staff changes prior to the rebranding in October with Eric Palmer resigning and Susan Cole suddenly abandoning her position.  We of course talked about the ten-years broadcast and belated affiliate anniversary we celebrated in October at the same time we had rebranded on the air.

We also covered the fictional business news of SimWorld Logistics, SimWorld Farms, SimWorld Barks-N-Meows, SimWorld Auto Service Center, SimWorld Cycling Team, and if were not for our friend Frodo reminding me as I had forgotten about SimWorld Zoos we covered this as part of our rejoin into the second half of programming. We then for a few minutes did a refresher of the SimWorld Insider program for each tier.

From there we outlined our neighborhood plans for 2024 including adding an awards presentation in the 2025: State of the SimWorld annual address with five categories: Best Insider, Best Supporter – either by Bits or Donations, Best Simscriber, Best Team SimWorld Employee – unfortunately Nathaniel is exempt for nominating himself.  Finally, there is the Best Neighborhood Talker – whether by voice chat on Discord or through Twitch.  Furthermore, in the neighborhood plans we had discussed how SimWorld may unlock and utilize more potential within Metaverse of Instagram and Threads to reach more potential likeminded people.  Nathaniel also expressed his interest to find SimWorld Insiders a marketplace that caters to them with free shipping, rolling discounts without having a monthly fee. Additionally, Nathaniel expressed how Discord needs more interactivity features for both the residents inside the paywall for Simscribers and Insiders but also for those outside the paywall.  Nathaniel did showcase the new eight-weeks rotational schedule with the changes for Police Simulator: Patrol Officers which will still be played off the air in the multiplayer experience room within the neighborhood. Also, Construction Simulator was taken out for more airtime given of MineCraft Adventures for all odd week numbers on Fridays.

With not having participation in the poll earlier this month for SimWorld Logistics event for gift driving, SimWorld will be taking a Christmas break through Friday, December 29th, 2023 but plans to return with Week 1’s new schedule!
