SimWorld: Live — TODAY | 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Eastern
If you miss any part of SimWorld: Live, you will be able to watch the broadcast in its entirety on-demand in about 45 minutes, to an hour after we go off the air.
Coming Up On Today’s Broadcast:
Today, May 7th, 2017 marks the ten-year anniversary of the Central Topeka flash flooding that displaced close to 1,000 people including yours truly at our studios. Behind the scenes before coming on the air, I have raised the Topeka Boulevard, Kansas Avenue, and Sardou Street bridges and built a floodwall from after a flood Topeka had in 1951. Today we will see what it takes to recreate the flash flood from 2007. Also, we will play out a scenario where the Tuttle Creek dam located at the Tuttle Creek State Park in Manhattan, Kansas had a breach, and the massive amount of water is rushing for Topeka’s population.
We are holding off on working on public transportation issues until Mass Transit DLC, which is less than two weeks away. This and next week we will focus on disasters that do not ruin the roads we took weeks to lay down.
Today’s broadcast is sponsored in part by Penwell-Gabel Funeral Homes, Crematory & Cemeteries of Topeka.
